Death


Around 15:54, July 23, 2011 (British Summer Time, UTC +1), two ambulances were called to Winehouse's home emCamden, London, due to a call to the British police to meet a woman fainted. Shortly thereafter, the metropolitan authorities had confirmed the death of the singer. Subsequently, an investigation was opened to determine the cause of death of Amy, but the initial results were inconclusive and a toxicological analysis was required.

Only on October 26 of that year, the final reports could indicate that the cause of death resulted from an alcohol abuse after a period of abstinence, they kept until the 22th of the same month.  Suzanne Greenaway, medical examiner said: "It has consumed a large amount of alcohol, the concentration was such that it was 4.16 g / L of alcohol in the blood, and that high alcohol consumption resulted in his sudden and unexpected death".

On the day of death, the record label Universal issued a statement expressing its regret at the "unexpected loss of a talented singer and songwriter." The funeral took place on July 26, 2011, Tuesday, at the cemetery Edgwarebury in London.
